Subject: [CMS-ADMIN] Update on Blackboard 8.0 switchover to the Hosted Environment

Dear Colleagues:

As many of you already know the switch over to the Blackboard 8.0 hosted
environment was completed yesterday, just prior to the projected completion
time of 11am.   Our user community was able to immediately sign on and use
the system.  We monitored the system throughout the day and continue to
stay in close contact with Blackboard's hosting services staff.

While some issues have been reported to Blackboard, they have resolved them
and are now responsible for reporting back to CUNY on the root cause of the
problems.

We appreciate the effort of the faculty community that has been
communicating with us throughout the switch over and for highlighting areas
that need attention/resolution.
